A Persistent Systems Case Study
Persistent Systems helped IBM Product Master address the growing need for faster deployments, better scalability, and multi-cloud readiness. As demand increased for product information management and master data management across retail, manufacturing, banking, telecom, and government, IBM Product Master’s on-premises deployment model became too manual and slow, often taking days or even a week to get up and running.
Persistent Systems containerized IBM Product Master using Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift, breaking the application into microservices and automating deployment, scaling, and orchestration. The results were significant: new instances now go live in about 10 minutes, scaling happens automatically in minutes with no manual intervention, and the solution is now cloud-native and deployable across AWS, Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud, and other leading platforms.
