Preview of the Global Payments Company Case Study

Global payments leader boosts topline revenue by 20% with high-performing cloud

Persistent Systems worked with Global Payments Company, a global leader in embedded payments processing more than $200 billion in payment volumes each year. After moving its payment platform to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), the cloud-hosted system became unstable, could not scale past a certain transaction threshold, and lacked mature security and PCI-DSS compliance controls.

Persistent Systems migrated and stabilized the payment platform on GCP, using its Google Cloud expertise to identify and fix database-related performance issues, add monthly penetration testing, implement multi-factor authentication, and align processes with PCI-DSS versions 3 and 4. As a result, the platform increased capacity from 27 million to 36 million monthly transactions, driving a 20% revenue boost, while also improving security and achieving compliance with the latest PCI-DSS requirements.
