NORC, one of the largest independent social research organizations in the US, wanted to launch a new Data Platform-as-a-Service for customers. Persistent Systems helped address the challenge by designing a cloud-based platform that could support multiple use cases in a multi-tenant environment, handle structured and unstructured data, and meet SOC 2 and FISMA compliance requirements.

Persistent Systems implemented the solution on AWS using DevOps best practices, including CloudFormation, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and services such as S3, RDS, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, and Kinesis Firehose. The result was a secure, scalable, pay-as-you-go platform that reduced infrastructure provisioning from days to a few hours, lowered operating costs, avoided repetitive compliance audits, and enabled NORC to launch multiple analytics use cases and new data services for clients.
