Case Study: Altisource lowers data warehouse costs and centralizes reporting with Persistent Systems and Snowflake

A Persistent Systems Case Study

Preview of the Altisource Case Study

Accelerated migration of a highly complex legacy data warehouse environment to Snowflake

Altisource, a provider of mortgage and real-estate marketplace solutions, needed to lower the high operating cost of its on-prem Oracle Exadata data platform and move to a cloud-native warehouse after its data center was slated for decommissioning. The company also wanted to consolidate multiple ETL tools into a single enterprise-wide platform for centralized reporting, but a direct “as-is” migration to Snowflake was not possible because of Oracle’s cursor-based processing.

Persistent Systems helped Altisource migrate its legacy warehouse to Snowflake and standardize ETL on Rivery, building new bulk-load migration procedures, redesigning the warehouse architecture, and templating stored procedures for easier expansion. Persistent Systems migrated 25,000 customer tenants, 1,500+ tables, 700 stored procedures, and 800 UDFs, eliminated non-standard naming, fixed existing defects, and trained the team on Snowflake and Rivery, delivering a lower-cost, centralized cloud data environment.
