Persistent Systems worked with a multibillion-dollar global company in the retail pharmacy and healthcare industry operating in more than 25 countries. The customer was struggling with identity and access management, using Excel spreadsheets to track onboarding, offboarding, and access approvals, while employees managed multiple IDs and passwords across systems, creating security, compliance, and helpdesk challenges.
Persistent Systems implemented the Saviynt Identity platform, along with Ignite/MyPassport, to automate provisioning and deprovisioning, enable self-service password and access requests, and add MFA for secure access. The result was a major reduction in manual effort and human error, with access request service times dropping well below the previous average of 7 days and 92% of access requests now self-serviced.
