9Round, a kickboxing fitness franchise, needed to reduce member churn and boost referrals and social engagement. In February 2017 they piloted a customizable Perkville rewards program at five locations to motivate member attendance and encourage friend referrals.
Perkville’s automated, point-based system rewarded check-ins, referrals and social posts and let members redeem merchandise, protein mixes and gym credits. The pilot achieved 54% member participation, an 8% reduction in annual churn, about $8K in referral revenue and nearly 1,200 social posts, and has since expanded to 24 locations while reducing staff time spent managing rewards.
