How Perkbox is at the heart of HOYTS’ people strategy

Hoyts, the cinema group with 51 cinemas and over 2,500 frontline employees (plus the Val Morgan advertising arm), needed a more structured, accessible way to support and recognise a geographically dispersed workforce—a need made urgent by the COVID‑19 pandemic and a focus on employee wellbeing. To address this, Hoyts partnered with Perkbox and adopted its benefits and rewards platform, including the Perks hub and dedicated Wellness hub.

Perkbox delivered a global app, Perks and Wellness hubs, and a dynamic admin dashboard aligned to Hoyts’ FIERCE values, enabling recognition, financial savings and wellbeing support. Within five months Hoyts achieved a 97% activation rate, 700+ perks redeemed and about $10,000 in employee savings, while Wellness hub content and initiatives like “Wellness Wednesdays” helped reduce burnout and boost engagement—making Perkbox a core part of Hoyts’ people strategy.
