Calanna Whole Health Pharmacies, a family‑owned Queensland pharmacy chain with 11 stores and 128 employees, wanted to become an employer of choice while keeping staff focused on the positive impact of their customer‑facing roles. Facing industry‑wide recruitment challenges and the risk of daily negatives overshadowing meaningful work, Calanna adopted Perkbox’s perks and recognition platform to reinforce company values and improve employee wellbeing and engagement.
Perkbox delivered a combined perks, recognition and values‑tagging solution, embedded in inductions and driven by leadership. The results were strong: an 87.5% activation rate, over 770 recognitions sent in nine months, more than 225 rewards issued by managers, 62.5% of staff redeeming 650 perks, and over $21,000 saved by employees. Beyond the metrics, Perkbox helped shift Calanna’s culture toward regular positive recognition and increased face‑to‑face appreciation, supporting retention and their employer‑of‑choice goals.
