City of Fort Worth Integrates BuySpeed eProcurement and PeopleSoft Financials

The City of Fort Worth faced an urgent technology challenge when its legacy finance system reached end-of-life, losing vendor support and relying on inefficient once-a-day batch updates that hindered budget visibility and procurement workflows. As a long-time user of Periscope Holdings’ BuySpeed™ eProcurement, the City selected PeopleSoft Financials for its ERP and needed Periscope Holdings to deliver a real-time, configurable interface between BuySpeed and PeopleSoft to enforce budget controls and create a single source of financial truth.

Periscope Holdings implemented and supported an integrated BuySpeed–PeopleSoft solution with close collaboration between BuySpeed and PeopleSoft teams, phased deployment, custom overrides, and extensive training. The integration converted large volumes of data at go‑live (including 21,416 vendors and hundreds of thousands of accounts and transactions) and, six months later, supported 31,175 invoices, 21,615 requisitions, 19,564 POs, 3,880 vendor payments and 115,825 encumbrance transactions—delivering real‑time budget controls, greater transparency, and more engaged procurement and finance staff.
