The Motley Fool, a multimedia financial-services company, turned to Periscope Data in 2015 because their existing analytics tools weren’t easily shareable or consumable across the company. They had abundant data but it wasn’t accessible to most employees—only about 40–50 Tableau users could view reports—so routine questions like “what were yesterday’s call stats?” were hard to answer.
Periscope Data implemented company-wide dashboards and its Data Discovery drag-and-drop tool (introduced in 2018) to enable self-service analysis, alerts, and executive access. As a result, Periscope Data expanded active viewers from roughly 40–50 to more than 250 users, made dashboards intuitive for analysts and the C-suite, and delivered faster, measurable insights that increased data adoption across the organization.
