New York Civic Engagement Table - Customer Case Study

The New York Civic Engagement Table (NYCET) is a coalition that helps 60+ small nonprofit organizations across New York state coordinate civic-engagement work but lacked a shared data infrastructure to target marginalized and historically disenfranchised communities effectively. To create a single source of truth and enable member groups to self-serve complex analysis, NYCET adopted Periscope Data and its dashboards/platform to consolidate multiple data sources and standardize metrics.

Periscope Data built a central repository, cross-database joins and interactive dashboards for planning, real-time tracking and post‑mortem analysis—letting partners drill down by overlapping geographies, demographics and campaign activity. The rollout to dozens of groups cut weeks of ad‑hoc reporting (what used to take ~20 hours can now be answered instantly), helped visualize program impact in real time, and directly inspired an additional $12,000 in donor funding to expand a youth turnout program—demonstrating Periscope Data’s measurable impact on NYCET’s reach and fundraising.
