Case Study: Lovepop improves data access and analysis with Periscope Data

A Periscope Data Case Study

Preview of the Lovepop Case Study

Lovepop - Customer Case Study

Lovepop, a Boston-based startup that makes pop-up greeting cards and paper art, needed a better way to manage and share data as it grew from a four-year-old company into an 800-person global team. With several business lines, including ecommerce, retail, wholesale, and custom B2B sales, the company wanted a BI platform that kept analysis close to SQL, supported more dynamic filtering, and could be adopted across the organization.

Lovepop chose Periscope Data after evaluating four business intelligence platforms. The company now gives about 80 employees access to Periscope Data, with 10 actively writing SQL and others filtering data and building visualizations, while also sharing selected dashboards with external vendors. Principal Data Engineer Michael Prentice said Periscope Data saved him several hours per week he had spent pulling data for others, made it easier for nontechnical users to answer questions like best-selling SKU by customer subset, and supported forecasting with Python and R integrations.
