Flexport, a licensed freight forwarder in the logistics industry and a Periscope Data customer since 2014, needed to turn complex, time-sensitive supply chain questions into answers in minutes instead of days — for example rerouting shipments around port strikes or assessing new tariffs. Periscope Data’s flexible modeling, dashboarding and filter capabilities let Flexport’s 14-person data team build instant calculators and operational reports (including a Tariff Calculator) and deliver rerouting recommendations the same day a crisis hit. The platform also helped scale data access across the company — more than 50% of employees log in daily and over 90% monthly — supported growth from ~30 to 1,000+ employees, and sped time-to-insight through features like Data Discovery and Git-enabled workflows.
