A Periscope Data Case Study
Cover is a mobile insurance startup that needed to connect marketing, in‑app behavior, text conversations and financial systems to answer cross‑functional analytics questions—from acquisition and A/B testing to daily financial reporting and machine‑learning based lead prioritization. To solve that, Cover adopted Periscope Data to centralize event and production data, run experiments, and surface conversion metrics across the company.
Periscope Data was implemented as Cover’s analytics layer (caching raw tables, SQL Views, ETLs and CSV uploads) and added Python/R integration for Random Forest scoring, A/B testing, and executive dashboards. The result: consolidated daily reports and dashboards, a “one canned query” monthly financial workflow that saves significant time, and real‑time prediction scores that let sales prioritize high‑value prospects to improve conversion funnel efficiency — all powered by Periscope Data.
