Tereos Starch & Sweeteners Belgium, a major starch and sweetener producer, faced a significant logistical challenge due to its factory's location in a city center. With 150-180 daily truck deliveries, the company needed to prevent traffic congestion and manage its just-in-time loading process efficiently. Their previous system, managed by an external partner, was manual and inflexible, making it difficult to adapt to real-time changes in factory capacity and traffic delays. This led Tereos to seek a new solution from vendor Peripass.

By implementing the Peripass platform, Tereos gained control over its yard management. The solution automated truck registration, provided live visibility of vehicle queues, and enabled real-time communication with drivers via SMS. This allowed Tereos to dynamically schedule truck arrivals based on live factory capacity and comply with new city traffic restrictions. The Peripass implementation has significantly increased on-site safety and is expected to reduce the time trucks spend on site by 30 minutes per transport, streamlining the entire logistics flow.
