Stanley Black & Decker's European distribution center in Tessenderlo faced challenges with yard management, including traffic flow inefficiencies, a language barrier with international truck drivers, and a lack of visibility into the location and status of their swap trailers. To address these issues, they enlisted the help of Peripass and its Yard Management solution.

Peripass implemented a digital system featuring automated pre-registration via batch uploads, a multi-language self-service kiosk for drivers, and a drag-and-drop dispatch dashboard. The solution also included a mobile Yard Operator App for shunters to move trailers and conduct safety checks. The results were better visibility of all site activity, a smoother vehicle flow, and the elimination of language barriers and manual paperwork. The site, which handles 180 trucks per day, gained significant efficiency and saw quick employee adoption of the user-friendly Peripass platform.
