BrowserStack, the world-leading software testing platform used by over 25,000 customers, faced a sales comp challenge as rapid headcount growth outpaced its manual Google Docs and Excel processes. With more than 200 go-to-market team members and plans to hire 150 more, the sales ops team needed real-time visibility and a scalable way to calculate commissions; individual reps lacked granular, up-to-date achievement and commission details.
After evaluating options, BrowserStack implemented Performio (including support from Performio Professional Services) to automate commissions and handle complex pay rules. Performio now processes payments for 225 global reps (expected to grow >60% in Q1 2021), cut the monthly commission process time in half, improved rep transparency and satisfaction, and gave finance on-demand commission estimates for better budgeting.
