How Performio Gave LifeSearch Confidence to Change Its Incentive Pay Model

LifeSearch, one of the UK’s largest protection insurance brokers, needed a better way to manage commission payments for its 280+ advisers. Using spreadsheets and SQL logic created a high risk of error, limited transparency around clawbacks and write-offs, and made it impossible to introduce on-risk pay safely. LifeSearch turned to Performio for incentive compensation management software that could support complex insurance commission rules.

Performio implemented a controlled, auditable commission process that automated calculations, improved reporting, and gave LifeSearch self-service control over plan and threshold updates. As a result, adviser payout cycles were reduced from 6–8 weeks to around 4, commission details became visible in real time, and monthly processing became faster and more accurate. With Performio, LifeSearch gained greater confidence in payouts, improved adviser trust, and successfully launched on-risk pay.
