Merial, a global animal health company (a Sanofi company), launched a project in Taiwan to help homeless dogs find caring homes in a market with high demand for purebreds. The challenge was to reach pet owners aged 25–44 who could handle an additional pet and motivate them to adopt.
Performics created a social-first campaign—partnering with PIXNET, using Facebook celebrity endorsements, and promoting public adoption events—while offering care packages to five shelters and tying additional giveaways to social sharing. The campaign drove more than 5,000 adoptions, 1,500 adoption stories that generated 10,000 shares, 7 million ad impressions, 100,000 unique website visitors, delivery of 10,000 adoption packages (valued at $6M), and an estimated $2M in earned media.
