A Performics Case Study

Preview of the Buxton Case Study

Driving Healthy Hydration Through Twitter for Buxton Water

Buxton Water, the official water provider for the London Marathon, wanted to drive awareness of healthy hydration and directly engage runners using Twitter during the event. The challenge was to create real-time, relevant interactions that would resonate with participants and supporters throughout the race.

Performics Social ran a Twitter-led campaign centered on #withyoualltheway, including a Canada Water station takeover, lead-gen cards, the #Runwithalovedone competition, a promoted trend on race day, interest targeting and photo tweets with hydration tips. The campaign delivered 31.6 million impressions and 442,000 engagements in four weeks, a 6.10% engagement rate on the promoted trend (4.34% overall), a peak 14.8% engagement from the #Runwithalovedone gallery card, 38% follower growth in one week, and a 30% lift in post-engagement brand recall (Nielsen).
