Warhorse Studios Replaces Subversion with Helix Core to Enable Agile Workflows and a Continuous Integration Pipeline

Warhorse Studios, a Prague-based game developer, needed a more scalable way to manage large binary assets and support agile development as it worked toward releasing *Kingdom Come: Deliverance*. The studio had been using Subversion for binaries and Mercurial for code, but the growing size and complexity of its project made version control and build integration increasingly difficult.

Perforce’s Helix Core (P4) replaced that split setup and gave Warhorse Studios a single platform for versioning, file locking, and CI integration. With Perforce, the studio automated builds across nine TeamCity servers, improved handling of large files, and strengthened disaster recovery with mirrored on-premises servers plus AWS backups—helping reduce wasted effort, improve visibility, and keep development moving smoothly.
