A Perforce Case Study
Tequila Works, the Madrid-based game studio, was outgrowing Subversion (SVN) as it developed RIME and needed a version control system that could handle roughly 400,000 files and 40 GB of data. The team also needed better collaboration across distributed teams, stronger branching, and integration with tools like Unreal, TeamCity, C++, Maya, and 3D Max, so they evaluated Perforce P4 (Helix Core).
Perforce implemented P4 for Tequila Works, giving the studio faster performance, centralized version control, and support for remote work and continuous delivery. The team also used P4 with TeamCity to produce builds every 15 to 30 minutes and quickly trace bugs through recent check-ins. As a result, Tequila Works reached full ROI within the first year and met the deadline for RIME.
