A Perforce Case Study
StepStone, a leading European provider of human capital management (HCM) software and services with customers across Europe and developer teams in 16 countries, faced the challenge of coordinating dispersed engineering groups while meeting increasingly tech‑savvy customer expectations and demanding release schedules. Maintaining cohesive workflows and fast delivery was difficult with different version-control systems across teams.
StepStone centralized version control by adopting Perforce Helix, rolling it out across its development, QA and release teams. The central Helix repository plus strong proxy and branching support delivered much better performance and workflows, dramatically speeding release cycles, enabling three‑way merges and easier maintenance, and allowing StepStone to keep up with market demands and customer expectations.
