Optalert Accelerates Toward MISRA Compliance for Automotive Technology with Helix QAC

Optalert, a leader in drowsiness and wakefulness detection technology, needed to make its C-based Drowsiness Detection SDK MISRA compliant for automotive use while managing more than 20,000 lines of code across Windows and Linux. The company turned to Perforce’s Helix QAC to help identify defects early, verify compliance with industry coding standards, and speed up its path to market.

Perforce’s Helix QAC enabled Optalert to prioritize issues with filters, suppressions, and baselines, quickly uncovering more than 300 key issues in the main codebase and over 1,700 potential vulnerabilities across the wider codebase. Most of these were resolved within weeks, helping Optalert enforce MISRA compliance across platforms, generate audit-ready reports faster, and strengthen its position in the automotive technology market.
