A Perforce Case Study
MiTek Industries, a global building components company with distributed development teams, needed a single source of truth to manage many projects, locations, and workflows. Using Perforce’s Helix ALM, MiTek moved beyond a homegrown Microsoft Access system and worked to unify separate databases that had made cross-team development inefficient and hard to coordinate.
Perforce helped MiTek merge two very different Helix ALM installations into one shared system by extracting, converting, and importing data into a new database with a middle-ground workflow. The result was one cohesive platform that improved traceability, streamlined workflows, and enabled teams to share work and resources more effectively; MiTek now manages its product lifecycle in Helix ALM and is extending the same approach to its Australian team.
