A Perfion Case Study
Watson-Marlow, a UK manufacturer of positive displacement pumps serving 60+ markets, struggled with a fully manual website and desktop-published datasheets: product pages and 9,000 datasheets existed in 21 languages but were only correct at time of creation, updates were laborious and error-prone, and a single change across 21 language datasheets took 2–3 hours. To address this, Watson-Marlow selected the Perfion PIM as a Single Source of Truth.
Perfion implemented a centralized PIM solution so every product page and all 9,000 datasheets are generated from the same data model, with data inheritance, marketing “abstractions” for variant-rich products, and automatic multi-language publishing. As a result Perfion now manages ~5,300 part numbers and 418 product variants across 21 languages and 40+ sites, web pages update automatically, and a datasheet change that once took 2–3 hours now takes about 5 minutes, greatly improving accuracy and efficiency.
