Perfion’s mass data maintenance and inheritance features are impressive

Wentronic, a leading European distributor of electronic accessories, faced a fragmented product-data landscape: file servers, an outdated Navision 2.6 ERP and multiple proprietary databases meant heavy manual effort to keep information for more than 12,000 items current across languages and media. This decentralized setup prevented high data quality and features like attribute-based searches. After evaluating six PIM systems, Wentronic selected the Perfion PIM for its easy-to-use mass data maintenance and API support for real‑time exchange with Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013.

Perfion implemented a centrally managed PIM that integrates existing file and image repositories, connects bidirectionally to NAV 2013, and supports UTF‑8 for up to 14 languages. The new solution feeds Wentronic’s 870‑page main catalog, B2B webshop, brand sites and exports (XML/CSV), enables feature searches, and supports EDI automation and workflow/translation processes—eliminating many manual steps. Perfion therefore delivered a single source of truth for over 12,000 items, improved data quality and automation, and aligns with Perfion’s documented ROI of under a year.
