A Perfect Fools Case Study
The Swedish TV channel SVT wanted to create a real-time connection for the 4 million viewers of its Melodifestivalen show. Partnering with vendor Perfect Fools, the challenge was to develop a second-screen experience that would deeply engage the audience throughout the six-week contest.
Perfect Fools created a companion app that allowed users to vote in real-time by pressing a heart symbol during performances. Over eight years of development, the solution evolved into a primary platform featuring live streams, social connectivity, chat, and digital collector's cards. This resulted in an immensely engaged community, with users generating over 1.2 billion digital cards and forming dedicated groups to discuss the show.
