Big Fish, the world’s largest producer of casual games with thousands of titles and more than 2 billion distributed downloads, needed a fast, reliable and scalable database infrastructure to support its data‑driven platform. The company sought non‑blocking backups, better visibility into MySQL workloads to reduce downtime and control hardware costs, and after acquiring a studio already using Percona, decided to standardize its new builds on Percona technology.
