The customer, Nestlé Purina, faced the challenge of differentiating its trusted pet care brands in a crowded market and connecting more deeply with shoppers. Their objective was to strengthen retailer relationships and increase sales through innovative in-store engagement. To achieve this, they partnered with the vendor, Perch, to implement its computer vision-powered "lift-and-learn" interactive displays.
Perch's solution allowed shoppers to get detailed product information simply by picking up an item, bypassing the need for apps or QR codes and leading to a high engagement rate. The deployment engaged 75,000 shoppers monthly at a Cost Per Click of just $0.19, which was 76.6% lower than industry averages for online media. This successful implementation also provided valuable merchandising insights and generated significant industry recognition for Purina.
