Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) needed a better way to handle a high volume of invoices across multiple locations, since its paper-based accounts payable process slowed approvals and made it hard to see transaction content. UL also wanted a solution that could integrate with Oracle Financials and be proven in one department before expanding. Perceptive Software, Inc and its Perceptive Content product were selected to help address these challenges.

Perceptive Software, Inc implemented Perceptive Content with Oracle Financials integration so UL could scan, fax, and route invoices electronically and access related documents directly from Oracle. The results included faster approvals, better invoice visibility, a complete audit trail, and measurable time and cost savings: end-of-month accruals saved at least three days for four people, and one employee’s research workload was reduced by about a full week. UL also cut storage and filing costs and gained a scalable platform for future expansion.
