Case Study: Phase III Multi-Center achieves reduced drug wastage and lower monitoring burden with Perceptive's Automated Supply Strategy Management

Minimize Monitoring Burden while Optimizing Supplies

Phase III Multi-Center, a 150‑patient, double‑blind, randomized, placebo‑controlled study running across 80+ sites in 25 countries, faced a high risk of drug wastage and lacked capacity for the clinical supplies team to closely monitor site inventories. Perceptive was engaged to address supply risk using an IRT-based Automated Supply Strategy Management service to ensure sites were stocked appropriately as recruitment rates changed.

Perceptive implemented automated supply‑strategy switching that set initial shipments and resupplies from a dynamic count of subjects actively in screening, with safety‑valve features (manual overrides, country opt‑outs, long‑lead adjustments). As a result Perceptive relieved the clinical supply manager’s monitoring burden, ensured subjects could be randomized without missed visits, kept each site on the optimum supply strategy for its recruitment rate, and minimized drug wastage.
