Aeropostale partnered with the Pepperjam Network to solve a core retail challenge: drive in-store sales through a pay-for-performance affiliate model and track the consumer path from online engagement to offline purchase. Working with Pepperjam (and integrating RevTrax SmartOffer) Aeropostale aimed to leverage existing publisher relationships to send shoppers into stores with measurable coupons and incentives.
Using the Pepperjam Network to distribute mobile and printable in-store coupons and integrating RevTrax’s SmartOffer and dynamic barcoding for user-level attribution, the program automated publisher payments and tied O2O activity to publishers. The Pepperjam-led solution drove strong results: 73% of clicked ads produced printable coupons, 18% of printed coupons converted to purchases, a $15 average per-click transaction value, 25% of engagements from mobile/tablet, and a 50% expansion of the affiliate program while using only 10% of the publisher base.
