Case Study: U.S. Ski & Snowboard Foundation achieves unbreakable remote connectivity with Peplink HD4 MBX

The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Stays Connected

The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Foundation supports nearly 200 elite skiers and snowboarders across multiple disciplines and thousands of youth programs, but its athletes train and compete in remote mountain venues and crowded event sites where connectivity is often unusable. To maintain live video, weather tracking, team communications and safety systems, the Foundation turned to Peplink and its HD4 MBX router for a rugged, on-the-go connectivity solution.

Peplink installed the HD4 MBX in the team’s mobile wax truck “Yolande,” pairing a rooftop antenna, local Wi‑Fi and multiple SIMs to aggregate up to four cellular links (with up to 8 SIMs standard and room for 8 more via an optional SIM Injector) into a high‑speed SD‑WAN connection. The deployment delivered uninterrupted access to weather data, cloud services and live video uploads even in remote or crowded locations, providing reliable, secure communications that improved operational efficiency and athlete safety.
