The Karel Foundation Rolls Out Peplink for Train Rides

The Karel Foundation, a Dutch organization dedicated to preserving historic railway equipment, needed fast and reliable onboard connectivity for its private charter train rides in the Netherlands. As interest grew from broadcasters and companies wanting to stream events or stay connected during trips, the foundation looked to Peplink for a stable network solution.

Peplink, through Frontier EU, deployed a MAX HD4 router with four cellular connections and two Mobility 40G antennas to improve coverage and reduce interference on the moving train. The setup delivered enough bandwidth for uninterrupted travel along the route, supported live streaming onboard, and helped the foundation expand its appeal; it also contributed to fundraising success, including €41,000 donated to the Dutch Cancer Society.
