Telemedicine Extends Its Care to Remote Communities with Peplink

19Labs, a telemedicine technology company, faced the challenge of bringing healthcare to remote villages in Guyana that lacked reliable power and cellular infrastructure. Their project required a robust, scalable connectivity solution that could be easily managed remotely by local teams with limited technical expertise. They partnered with connectivity provider FrontierLATAM and chose Peplink's Balance 20X routers to form the foundation of their network.

The Peplink solution combined cellular and satellite connections, extended by long-range antennas and AP One AX access points. The entire deployment was configured and is managed centrally through Peplink's InControl platform. This provided the necessary bandwidth for AI-powered medical applications and allowed 19Labs to offer separate, managed Wi-Fi networks to nearby schools and the public. The success in Guyana has led to plans for expanding the Peplink-powered telemedicine solution to other countries.
