A multinational conglomerate corporation with commercial sites in rural global locations faced a significant challenge. Their reliance on a single MPLS connection for critical alarm systems resulted in long deployment times and a complete lack of redundancy. With no direct monitoring ability and the vulnerability of their OSPF and IPSec setup, they sought a more resilient solution from vendor Peplink.

Peplink's solution involved deploying BR1 Pro 5G routers at the commercial sites to bond the existing MPLS with new 5G connections. At headquarters, two Balance SDX Pro routers in high availability mode were installed. By connecting everything with SpeedFusion technology, Peplink created a zero-downtime failover VPN. The result was a rapidly deployable system that provided full remote access for monitoring and management via InControl2. This upgrade drastically minimized the man hours and truck rolls needed for physical configuration and troubleshooting, providing complete network resiliency.
