Smart Informatics Equips Czech TV to Broadcast Beyond Boundaries with Peplink

Czech TV, the national public broadcaster, needed a more cost-effective way to support live and remote productions across its OB fleet without relying so heavily on expensive DSNG satellite links. The goal was to keep reliable connectivity for broadcast operations while using a hybrid approach that could combine satellite with mobile 5G, and fit within compact vehicle deployments.

Peplink, working with Smart Informatics and Frontier EU, equipped each of Czech TV’s ten OB vehicles with an HD4 MBX 5G router and Mobility Antennas, while two SDX Pros in high-availability mode provided the core infrastructure for SpeedFusion tunnels and centralized management via InControl. This Peplink solution enabled bonded 5G broadcast-grade audio and video streaming, reduced operational costs, and improved real-time coordination between OB vehicles and master control rooms.
