SIEM Shipping’s Seamless Connectivity The Power of Starlink, 5G, Iridium, and Peplink Integration

SIEM Shipping faced the challenge of maintaining reliable internet connectivity for both operational and crew welfare needs across its global fleet. They needed a solution that could overcome coverage limits, avoid excessive data charges, provide backup links, and enable remote network management. To address this, they worked with Peplink's partner, Rio Innovations, to implement a solution using Peplink hardware and services.

The solution integrated multiple connectivity sources, including Starlink, 5G, LTE, and Iridium, which were bonded and managed by a Peplink router. The onboard network was distributed via Peplink access points and controlled through the Peplink InControl platform. This Peplink implementation resulted in consistent high-speed connectivity at sea, significant cost savings, reduced reliance on legacy systems, and improved operational efficiency and crew satisfaction for SIEM Shipping.
