Seamless Connectivity On Track for Rio Rancho Railway System

The customer, 1SimpleConnect, faced a challenge in providing connectivity for the Rio Rancho railway system, where the existing Wi-Fi was too slow and unreliable. The unique operational requirement of having cars frequently detached from the train added complexity, making a traditional wired solution unviable and necessitating a resilient wireless network from their vendor, Peplink.

Peplink’s solution involved creating a mesh network using a BR1 Pro 5G router, a Starlink terminal, and multiple AP One AX access points deployed across the train cars. This implementation dramatically improved internet speeds from 3-5 Mbps to up to 300/20 Mbps and extended Wi-Fi coverage to 600 feet, ensuring passengers enjoy stable, uninterrupted connectivity throughout their journey.
