RTL Radio Center Berlin’s IT and audio team needed a compact, easy-to-use router solution for a mobile broadcasting studio that could provide multiple cellular WANs, combine and manage links for bandwidth and redundancy, guarantee uninterrupted external transmission, and allow remote management. They chose Peplink for the project, deploying Peplink MAX routers with embedded cellular modems and Peplink’s FusionHub/SpeedFusion technology to meet these requirements.

Peplink implemented MAX HD4/HD2 routers and a FusionHub virtual appliance to bond cellular connections with SpeedFusion and create secure tunnels, producing a resilient, low‑latency SD‑WAN back to the radio center. The result was stable, high‑speed connectivity so live audio streams and phone calls arrived without disruption; telephone routing via a dedicated HD4 tunnel also allowed staff to be reached on their landline from the mobile studio, delivering uninterrupted external broadcasts and centralized remote management.
