The customer, Wavemobile, faced challenges providing reliable connectivity on public transport buses, particularly in rural areas with poor cellular coverage. Their previous system used multiple unintegrated services for Wi-Fi, ticketing, and CCTV, which was inefficient and costly. The vendor, Peplink, was engaged to address these issues with their networking products.

Peplink's solution involved deploying a BR1 Pro 5G router, a Mobility 42G antenna, and Starlink satellite connectivity, all managed via their SpeedFusion and InControl software. This integrated approach provided seamless, high-speed internet exceeding 150 Mbps with minimal downtime, consolidating all onboard systems onto a single, remotely managed platform. The successful trial has led to discussions about expanding the Peplink solution to more routes, establishing it as a cost-effective standard for public transport connectivity.
