Mobile Command Center for Zurich’s Executive Department Locks In Secure Connectivity

Protection & Rescue Zurich, the biggest civil rescue organization in Switzerland, needed a highly reliable way to maintain communications and task coordination during increasingly complex disaster and emergency situations. To support its mobile command center, Peplink provided secure connectivity infrastructure for onsite operations.

Peplink deployed dual SDX Pro units in high-availability mode, HD1 Dome cellular units on the vehicle roof, and Balance 310 5G routers, with multi-SIM, Starlink, satellite, and wired connectivity integrated into the emergency network. The result is a resilient mobile command center supporting 144 network connections, staying online even if a Dome or SDX Pro fails, and already proven in real incidents such as a chemical accident and a fire response.
