A North America local police force needed to set up portable, battery-powered security camera systems in cold, remote locations. Their challenge was finding a compact, rugged solution with resilient LTE/5G connectivity that could automatically select or combine multiple cellular carriers, all while minimizing on-site maintenance. Peplink deployed a mobile setup featuring an HD2 Mini router with dual modems, a Mobility 40G antenna, and an SD-PMU power unit. This was paired with a SpeedFusion connection to a Balance 310X at their data center. The results included a significant increase in response time and lower latency for video streaming, ensured by bandwidth bonding and remote management via InControl 2.
