A Peplink Case Study
The Lameri Group, an Italian agri‑food company founded in 1968, relied on an MPLS network to link its headquarters, six production plants and warehouse but faced bandwidth constraints, high expansion costs and a single point of failure. Lameri engaged Know IT, which recommended a Peplink SD‑WAN approach built around Peplink’s SpeedFusion technology to reduce recurring costs, add scalability and introduce redundancy.
Know IT deployed Peplink devices — two Balance 380 units at the main office, Balance 305s at peripheral sites and MAX HD2 routers where 4G LTE backup was needed — and centralized management with Peplink InControl2. The Peplink solution bonded multiple links, provided WAN smoothing and hot failover for “always‑on” connectivity, improved bandwidth and VoIP quality, enabled remote monitoring and configuration, and delivered measurable benefits including reliable site-to-site performance and significant operating cost savings.
