A Peplink Case Study
Gateway Group, a Philippines distributor of BMW, Peugeot, Nissan and other brands with five branches, struggled with unreliable satellite links and constrained leased-line capacity (only 28 Mb total) that cost about US$4,000/month. Peplink, working with partner PhilNetworks, was chosen as the Branch Edge / MPLS alternative and deployed Peplink Balance routers along with SpeedFusion and FusionHub in AWS to address connectivity and budget issues.
Peplink’s solution consolidated multiple affordable DSL links at each branch, using SpeedFusion to combine bandwidth and provide automatic failover back to a Balance appliance at headquarters (with FusionHub supplying extra capacity as needed). The deployment increased total bandwidth fourfold (headquarters now 80 Mb, branches 10 Mb each), delivered reliable, dedicated-line performance and reduced monthly costs by roughly 60%, enabling faster order processing and improved business continuity.
