A Peplink Case Study
Ferrari Group, a Italy-based leader in secure transport and logistics, needed a way to securely and reliably track and surveil a fleet of over a hundred armored vehicles—providing GPS, cellular data and HD camera feeds for high‑value cargo. Trium Security Consulting implemented Project Guardian Eagle using Peplink hardware and services, including Balance 580s, MAX BR1 and MAX HD2 units, SpeedFusion bonding and InControl 2 management to meet these strict requirements.
Peplink deployed a pair of Balance 580s in high‑availability at headquarters and MAX BR1/MAX HD2 units in the vans, using SpeedFusion Unbreakable VPN and bonded 3G links to stream and transmit 3‑Megapixel (2,048 x 1,536) video and GPS in real time; devices are managed via InControl 2 and powered from vehicle battery plus UPS to remain online for hours after shutdown. The result is continuous real‑time tracking and HD interior/exterior monitoring across the fleet, ultra‑reliable redundant cellular connectivity, reduced power draw and rapid incident response for Ferrari Group.
