A Peplink Case Study
Eco‑Runner Team Delft, a student team that designs and builds a car for the Shell Eco‑marathon, needed to stream real‑time diagnostic data from their vehicle and provide tactical guidance during races. They also faced highly congested Wi‑Fi at events (about 200 student teams), which made reliable connectivity difficult, so they turned to Peplink and its Pepwave MAX BR1 Mini routers for a robust solution.
Peplink supplied two Pepwave MAX BR1 Minis (one in the vehicle, one at the ground station) with built‑in GPS and fleet‑tracking software. The routers could be powered directly from the car battery, delivered stable connections amid crowded networks, enabled real‑time telemetry and location/speed monitoring, and saved significant development time—giving the strategy team a live visual of the car and reliable streaming so they could provide tactical guidance. Peplink’s solution proved easy, reliable, and timesaving, and the team plans to continue using it.
