Discount Store Chains Finds Connectivity Savings with Peplink

Peplink worked with a leading Canadian discount store chain operating more than 260 branches and about 10,000 employees. The retailer needed a more reliable branch network than DSL alone could provide, but adding a second DSL line was too expensive and time-consuming to install and maintain. They also wanted a solution that could scale easily across many locations without requiring extra on-site IT support.

Peplink deployed BR1 Pro 5G routers in each branch, pairing the existing DSL connection with 5G for failover and connecting them to FusionHub to enable SpeedFusion Hot Failover. Managed through InControl 2, the rollout was completed remotely within the chain’s time and budget constraints. The result was immediate automatic failover to 5G or LTE where needed, zero downtime, and a scalable, centrally managed network that gave the customer confidence to expand deployments.
