Destination Hotels & Resorts, a top-ten U.S. hospitality management firm with more than 30 properties often located in secluded vacation areas, faced persistent bandwidth shortfalls that hurt guest experiences (streaming, video chat, VOIP) and left them reliant on costly/limited options like T‑1 lines. To address this, they selected Peplink and its Peplink Balance multi‑WAN routers.

Peplink deployed Balance units (models 580, 710 and 1350) to aggregate multiple Internet services — including 3G mobile broadband — and apply QoS and traffic-splitting for special events. The Peplink solution boosted available bandwidth, reliability and uptime, reduced dependence on expensive leased lines, and scaled to large venues (the Balance 1350 can handle up to 13 Internet services for properties of up to ~800 rooms), while remaining easy for in‑house IT to manage.
